Maybe it’s growing up in California where we didn’t have a traditional fall, but I really enjoy the changing of the seasons. Living in the Midwest now, I’ve really tried to embrace everything that comes with it.
J visited for a weekend, so I dragged him to a plethora of festive fall activities, including apple picking.
We filled a bag of crisp, sweet Golden Delicious, Red Delicious and Jonathan apples and grabbed a thing of Apple Cider to make this boozy, bubbly drink.
Recipe – Cider Sparkler
2 oz Apple Cider
1 oz Bourbon
Splash of Champagne
1 tbsp Cinnamon
1 tbsp Sugar
Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
Take an apple slice and coat the rim of a champagne flute, then dip into cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Add apple cider, bourbon and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously. Strain into the flute.
Top with champagne.
