Happy Friday! How are you doing? I hope everyone in your home is staying safe. One of the fun things we did this week is throw a virtual Spanish tapas party for our friend’s 35th birthday.
As you’ve probably seen through the years, my high school friends and I take a girl’s trip every year together.
Since this is a big birthday year for us, we had planned to go to Mallorca, Spain this summer. And since that is not happening anymore, we decided to transport ourselves to Spanish shores Zoom-style.
Here’s what we made:
-classic Sangria
–Garlic Shrimp with Lemon and Parsley
–Patatas Bravas with Smokey Tomato Aioli
-Spanish cheese board: we had two different kinds of Manchego, Drunken Goat cheese, chorizo, grapes, truffled Marcona almonds, goat cheese with fig jam and local honey
And here’s our Spanish Tapas Party playlist…
Also head over to Instagram for our “virtual postcard game.” Send me your favorite travel photo without you in it, and I’ll share on Instagram stories, so we can travel the world together!
I’ll be sharing them all in next week’s weekend reads as well, so you can send me all week long.

Also… it’s Sephora’s spring sale!
I had this whole plan to use up all of my skincare samples before purchasing anything else, and then this sale had to come along.
From the samples I’ve been trying, things I really liked:
-my skin has been incredibly dry this spring and this moisturizer really felt refreshing on
-Charlotte Tilbury’s magic Cream is pretty thick, but I liked it on overnight. Plus, it comes in this mini size, so you can truly try it out before dishing out tons of money.
I really like buying value sets during this time because it’s an affordable way to try out a bunch of products before committing to a big size of them…if there’s a mini or travel size, I will always buy that first. More product favs below.
