Today’s spring style post is one that brings much debate: do you or don’t you wear pajamas in public. I’m not talking about your Old Navy cotton boxer shorts. I’m talking about good ol’ luxe-looking silk pajamas, and I’m all for this 2020 spring look.
Rocking PJ’s in public has become a big trend over the years, and there’s plenty of ways to do it right. A few of my favorite celebrity inspirations:
I was inspired to construct a silk pajama date night outfit after seeing this Jenna Lyons look on Pinterest and then stumbling upon these Olivia Von Halle animal print silk pajamas.
Unfortunately, they are $375. Fortunately for my wallet, there are SO many good pairs of animal print silk pajamas out there right now.
Enter: Boohoo.com I picked up this lookalike pair of blue tiger silk pjs from Boohoo for $20.
They’re incredibly cute and versatile, so I wanted to share the three different ways I’ve worn them in public.
Stylin’ Suit
Dress them up with heels and a nice bag. Wear open with a tank underneath or buttoned up with a belt. As the bartender told me as I was leaving, this is “a super fly look.”
Silk Button-Down with Jeans
I got so many compliments and questions on this top when I wore it in my stories on Friday. Surprise! It’s a pajama top.
Sweater and Animal Print Silk Pants
This is a look I will probably wear a ton in spring. It’s also totally work friendly (depending on your work place). It’d also be really cute with a white button-down.
White sneakers also gives it just the right amount of casual cool-girl style.
