It’s currently still in the 80’s in Portland, but I seriously can’t wait for fall to get here.
For one, fall clothes are the best. They’re snuggly, comfy…and PLAID!
Fall foods are the best: gooey mac and cheese, spiced cider and ALL of the baked goods.
And you can’t forget all the amazing fall activities. I love exploring local pumpkin patches, road trips to check out the changing leaves and college football is finally back in my life.
Growing up in the Bay Area, I had very few cool weather clothes. Then, I moved to Montana and then on to the Midwest and invested in freezing cold weather clothes. Now here in Portland, I’m really starting to accumulate things like transitional jackets and lighter cardigans.
On my list of the seven must have fall items:
- a plaid menswear coat
- cozy sweaters that go with everything
- animal print of any kind
- fall inspired bag (don’t spend a ton of money on this!)
- knit dresses
- hats
- “fancy” leggings (no one wants to wear jeans all the time)
