Taste of the Tropics: Best Woven Picks

Straw bags have long been a vacation go-to.  Jane Birkin’s summer favorite, the basket bag, was even the top trending accessory of 2017.  This season, both of those are staying put and even working their way into city streetwear thanks to the likes of Prada and Loewe.  Right now, you can find a style that fits for any occasion and price point.  So today, I’m sharing the best woven picks for spring.

This woven circle bag from 31 Bits has been my go-to for two seasons now!  It’s also under $100.  31 Bits is also a really cool company.  Founded and run by women, their products are ethically made by artisans all over the world.  My bag was handmade by artisans in Bali.

I also love my tiny straw picnic basket from Show Me Your Mumu.  It’s a steal at $55.

It really is all about natural texture in accessories right now from woven to wicker.  It’s such an easy way to add some breezy vacation vibes to your wardrobe.  And they add an instant cool factor unexpected on city streets.

Andddd right now I’m loving pairing them with Jungalow-esque prints, so I’ve included a few of my favorite palm print pieces in the list as well.

Etsy also has some really great picks as well.  Here’s some shops I’ve been checking out.
