If you were to ask me what my everyday outfit is in these cold, gray months, it’s leggings and some sort of cozy pullover. And you’ve probably seen that there are cozy pullovers a plenty on Amazon. That’s why I decided to do some investigating into what these Amazon sherpa jackets look like in real life.
Especially since I mostly work from home now, it’s really hard to get yourself to put on something super stylish when you’re just sitting at your desk, talking to people over the internet all day.
I also find the humble sherpa jacket is a great transitional piece to get you from winter to spring. As we’re able to shed our layers when the weather warms up, it makes for a perfect run-around-town jacket.
Of course with all things Amazon, you’re never really quite sure what’s going to show up in that little white and blue bubble wrapped parcel.
In Real Life: Amazon Sherpa Jackets
This is rated as the “#1 Bestseller in Women’s Faux Fur Jackets and Coats” on Amazon.
Its official title: Comeon Women’s Coat Casual Lapel Fleece Fuzzy Faux Shearling Zipper Coats Warm Winter Oversized Outwear Jackets. They just want to be 100% sure you know what it is. LOL.
At first glance, it reminded me a lot of this Alo Yoga sherpa coat that I absolutely refuse to spend $188 on, but think is really adorable.
I really liked this Amazon sherpa. It reminds me of this incredibly soft robe I have from Pottery Barn that just feels like clouds. I am a bit worried about it getting really dirty in a hurry, but I think it looks a lot nicer than its $30 price tag.
The number one giveaway though with all of these Amazon products is the zipper, which feels cheap.
Next up is its identical twin: PRETTYGARDEN Women’s Fashion Long Sleeve Lapel Zip Up Faux Shearling Shaggy Oversized Coat Jacket with Pockets Warm Winter ($32).
These jackets are seriously almost identical. I would say the Comeon version is a little softer, but this also has a nice feel to it. I think the pink is really fun, but maybe just a little too cotton candy for me.
Also, another cheap zipper.
These next two Amazon sherpas bring a little more pizazz.
I like the sporty vibe of this $24 pullover from Famulily. This one definitely feels like its price. It’s pretty thin and flimsy, but I do think it’s cute for a throw on after the gym jacket.
Love the colors of this Zesica sherpa; it screams spring. But it’s weirdly tight around the wrists and much more cropped than I’d like it to be.
And I’ve saved the worst for last. I’ve shared how much I love this long sherpa coat from Mango (it’s still on sale btw!):
So I was really hoping to find a gem like it on Amazon. Unfortunately, I found this $39 thing.
Maybe it’s the fabric…maybe it’s the color…but it reminds me of an old dog’s blanket that has been into a coat. AVOID!
