Back to the blog after a couple of crazy weeks traveling and working on the store, and I’m so happy to be back with all of you this week because we’re less than a week away from Halloween! It has been my favorite holiday since I was a kid (probably something about free candy and costumes!). We actually have several parties to go to this year. But with me having been so busy this month, I’ve been furiously googling “best last minute halloween costume ideas.”
So if you’re like me and still don’t know what you’re going to be, I wanted to share a few easy ideas I’ve found from around the internet!
Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas
Here’s an idea that I DIY’d last Halloween and was incredibly easy, cheap and cute: an ice cream cone!
How I did it:
-buy paper party hat as “the cone”
-find a plain white dress you don’t mind pinning or gluing to. This one I found on Boohoo for $8. Similar one, two, three.
-add tulle. I went to Joann Fabrics and got three yards of tulle, and we literally hot glued it to the waist of the dress, just wrapping the tulle around me.
-use washi tape for your sprinkles!
Sea Anemone
Found on Good Housekeeping. This just looks fun to wear!
– Balloons (Amazon, $9.25)
Cute Pineapple
Have a yellow dress already? You can make this costume just by adding green felt to a headband. DIY tutorial here.
Melanie Daniels in The Birds
Found this The Birds’ costume on Lauren Conrad’s site, and I think this is incredibly cute. You can easily find an old suit like this at Goodwill, and she uses a feather boa for the bird feathers. Maybe next year, I’ll make Winnie the bird!
Need a group costume? How about the Spice Girls:
