Happy New Years dear readers! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are feeling refreshed as you return back to work. I’m not a huge resolution setter, but I do like to set (achievable) goals and intentions as I move into a new month, year, etc. So, I’ll be sharing a few of those in today’s weekend reads as well as some tools that I am finding useful for staying on track no matter what your goals may be.
Weekend Reads | 1/4
A piece of news for you… I’m in the process of transitioning over how you guys can shop my page… Currently, I use Shopstyle and I’m switching over to LikeToKnowIt…the easiest way to shop will be either directly here on the blog (go to the shop my instagram page) or by downloading their app and follow me at hautehomebody…bear with me during the switch; things might go awry in the next month as I figure it out!
Getting accepted into LikeToKnowIt happens to have been one of my first goals for 2019…CHECK!
Another for the new year is to read at least six books… Comment below on some you suggest… Currently reading: The Proposal
Speaking of books…here’s 10 inspirational titles to change your life this year…
A huge goal for me this year is to get my business up and running…(more later this year on what this business is!) I recently completed a business course, which was a huge step for me, so I’m excited to share more about what I’ll be doing as I get this thing going…it’s been wonderful to actually start making money off Haute Homebody, but I’ve always seen it more as a creative outlet…
Jake and I are currently doing the Whole 30, which means no alcohol, no sugar, no dairy, no grains or gluten for an entire month… not doing it to lose a million pounds, more as a personal challenge and to teach ourselves new ways to eat/cook healthy …this time last year, we did the Autoimmune Protocol for three months to get my Celiac’s under control, so after that, this should be a piece of cake… 🙂
Here’s a few of the recipes we’ve made this week:
Breakfast:
–Turkey Apple Breakfast Hash – we make a huge batch at the beginning of the week for our breakfasts and we also add sweet potato
Lunch:
–Chicken Salad – minus the bread in this recipe obviously and I use Paleo/ Whole 30 mayo like this from Primal Kitchen
Dinner:
–Paleo Chick-fil-a Chicken – this is so good we make it year-round and it SERIOUSLY tastes like the real thing
– Roasted Carrot and Avocado with Lime Dressing – a Chrissy Teigen recipe, and very tasty…
– Instant Pot Cashew Chicken – served this over cauliflower rice
If you’re looking to up your health and fitness game, here’s a look at what Camille Style’s crew is calling the buzziest wellness trends of 2019…
And I just downloaded these handy planners from LakeShore Lady…also OBSESSED with these bullet journal ideas from Buzzfeed…
Ok, so on Monday, I have a style post coming your way about my favorite Gucci-inspired pieces out right now… but I couldn’t wait to share this super cute DIY to make a Gucci bow brooch/ tie
