Welcome to another edition of weekend reads!
A tiny bit of good news this week that I wanted to share is that I finally reached 10K followers on Instagram!
The part I’m honestly most excited about is the ability for you all to swipe up directly to my links; that will simplify things so much for all you readers out there.
And I wanted to share this personal note to encourage everyone out there to keep pursuing what it is that’s important to you. Never in a million years did I think 10,000 people would want to see and hear anything about my life.
I actually started this blog in 2014, but for several years, I didn’t even tell anyone but my mom, my husband, and a few close friends about it. I felt oddly insecure and embarrassed that I was sharing outfit pictures and crafts that I was making in my apartment after work. Here’s my very first post: Panzanella.
I couldn’t shake those nagging and self-sabotaging feelings of “but who cares about this” and “why share, this is dumb.”
But about a year and a half ago, after being laid off from my dream job,” I decided to finally throw myself completely into trying to make the blog a success. I had just 127 followers on IG, ALL of whom I knew, and I felt truly lost and that I had nothing going for me. But… I just kept going.
I fought the feelings of what I was doing not being good enough and that no one but my mom cared about what I was posting by just continuing to put it out into the universe.
And here I am sitting at 10k followers less than two years later. I truly want to thank you all for supporting me along this journey. I can’t tell you how much I have grown into a happier, more positive person through this community. You all make it worth it!
Now enough of the sappy stuff…onto this week’s weekend reads.

Have you read about the “Wagatha Christie” British tabloid scandal?? It’s been my favorite thing of the week. I love a good internet sleuthing and British soccer wag Coleen Rooney just showed she’s queen!

Heading to Atlanta this weekend for another buying trade show, and I always get a little intimidated by these things. Here’s five confidence-boosting Instagram accounts to follow for a boost. My personal favorite not on this list is Morgan Harper Nichols. I needed this post this week:
