Happy Friday friends. Welcome to another edition of Weekend Reads, and boy it has been a week. Nothing like coming back to the grind from vacation. Maui was just what we all needed: rest and relaxation, sun and plenty of tropical beverages. So, one of my favorite things to do on the blog is share budget versions of your favorite designer looks, so today has a “Look for Less” theme!
Weekend Reads | 4-26
I’ve been feeling inspired to do a “Look for Less” post for awhile now, as I’ve been seeing some awesome options.
One of them being the Amazon purse in the picture above. I picked it up before my trip, and it makes an adorable spring addition to any wardrobe. It also is a dead ringer for Cult Gaia’s Lilleth bag.
Let’s start with the Rhode Ella Dress:
Budget Version:
Lele Sadoughi’s pearl headband, which is EVERYWHERE.

My Forever 21 version is sold out, but here are really similar styles under $100: one // two.
Drop a note in the comments about what other designer looks you want budget versions of!

Missoni and Adidas are teaming up to give your runs a dose of style.
A piece on if the “Instagram Look” is dead. I personally think people will always want to see beautiful pictures over reality, as sad as that is to say.
For my Portland peeps, there’s a dessert bar opening in NE soon!
Heading out to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival? Here’s what you need to know.
Since my mind is still on vacation, a three-ingredient classic daiquiri recipe, which is actually one of Jake’s favorite cocktails.
Tie-dye nails: love ’em or leave ’em?
I really love this black eyelet romper from Dress Up Buttercup.
Marinated mozzarella …perfect for a summer party.
I’m obsessed with this color combo for spring. Also here’s a few of my favorite white midi’s around:

The most popular warm weather tops to pick up.
Fun little new Netflix show that my best friend worked on: Bonding.
On a more serious note, I so appreciate the candidness of Meredith Viera and Jenna Bush Hager on the Today Show this week, discussing their struggles with body image.
This is from yesterday, but I really appreciate their candidness and honesty about their own body image struggles. As a woman on TV and one that has struggled with body image her entire life, we all need to be a little kinder to each other and ourselves. https://t.co/kvtpkuCuGs

As a woman who has worked in TV for over 12 years and was an overweight child, I know how hard other’s criticisms and words can hit you, especially when you’re a kid.
And sadly, I can’t think of any of my female friends or family that have never been on a diet or worried about how they look. I hope that one day we can all stop associating our value with what size we wear.
