Dark Chocolate Nut Bark

I LOVE chocolate; like seriously love chocolate.  I’m one of those people that has to have a little bit every day, so I’m constantly looking for ways to make it healthier.

Nuts and dark chocolate are loaded with nutrients.  So while satisfying that sweet tooth, I’m also getting a boost of protein, fiber and antioxidants.

This dessert is so easy to make; I hate to actually call it a “recipe.”  Also, with the holidays coming up, this is a great, simple co-worker or neighbor gift.

Recipe – Dark Chocolate Nut Bark

1 bag dark chocolate chips (12 oz)

1 cup assorted nuts and seeds

*I used macadamia nuts, almonds, pistachios and pumpkin seeds for no real reason other than they were on sale

Sea Salt

Step 1

Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe container and microwave (at 50% power) for 2 to 4 minutes.  Chocolate will turn shiny.  Once mostly melted, remove and stir.

Step 2

Add in nuts and mix.  Spread evenly onto waxed paper lined cookie sheet.  Sprinkle with sea salt.  Refrigerate 30 minutes.
