It’s the most wonderful time of the year: Halloween! Today, I’m sharing five no-carve pumpkin ideas to get you ready for the fall festivities.
On Friday, I talked a little bit about how much I love Halloween. My best friend and I, still to this day, fly in to celebrate together. And this year, I am very excited to be throwing a Halloween party with some of my Portland peeps. So you know, our pumpkin decorations need to be on point this year!
I’d been looking for some out of the box pumpkin ideas to do this year. I stumbled upon this flower sash pumpkin from Good Housekeeping and absolutely loved it.
This project was incredibly easy to put together; it took about 15 minutes from start to finish.
Flower Sash Pumpkin, Haute Homebody
what you need:
assorted flowers (Trader Joe’s has great bouquet options under $10)
pumpkin
drill
how to:
Decide on what shape you want your flower sash to go and make some marks with a pen. I wanted mine to go diagonally across the pumpkin.
Drill holes in your pumpkin about 1-2 inches apart, depending on the size of your flowers.
Cut flowers, leaving about 2 inches of stem and insert into the drilled holes.
Repeat until you reach your desired look.
Here are a few more of my favorite no-carve pumpkin ideas from around the internet:
