Weekend Reads | 12-13

Welcome to another holiday edition of weekend reads.  Sadly this week I’m feeling a bit under the weather, so this weekend will probably consist of watching A LOT of Christmas movies.

One exciting thing that happened this week is we finally booked our big vacation of the year; we are heading to Argentina in January!  Neither Jake or I have ever been to South America, so we’re incredible excited to add another continent to our travel bucket.

We’ll be gone just about two weeks.  We are planning on staying in Buenos Aires for four days, then Iguazu Falls for two days, and Mendoza for the next five days.  Drop your recommendations below if you’ve been to Argentina!

I can’t wait.  I mean just look at this place!

This week I also shared how to decorate your Christmas fireplace two different ways.  I feel like decorating a mantle for the holidays has been one of those things I couldn’t wait to do after purchasing a house!  There is also an easy DIY for the dried orange garland above.

Looking to take a trip soon?  Here are the best places to travel to in January.

Made these cookies for my Food 52 Holiday Swap match, and they are sooo good!

Winter outfit ideas courtesy of Gossip Girl.

Picked up these sparkly flats during Banana Republic’s 50% off sale; they remind me of these Prada flats.  You could absolutely wear these to the office all year round.

The best new Trader Joe’s holiday snacks.  I put the gluten free candy-cane jojos in a Christmas bark, and they are delicious.

I struggle so hard finding a red lipstick that matches my skin tone.  Cosmo ranks the 20 best red lipsticks of all time.

I had to share this product in weekend reads because it is the BEST sherpa pullover I’ve found.

Apparently grandpa jeans are cool?

Ahhh…can you believe we’re closing out a decade?  Vanity Fair rounded up the best reality shows of the 2010’s.  Is it sad that I watch just about all of these?

These $20 fuzzy pink slippers arrived and they are so comfy!

You know I love my Amazon coat.  A friend sent me this story and it’s hilarious: The Amazon Coat, One Year Later.  Best believe I am still wearing mine.

Sugar cookie martinis…peppermint bark mimosas…35 of the best winter cocktails to whip up this weekend.
