Weekend Reads | 4-5

Happy Friday everyone!  Today’s weekend reads has taken on a bit of an Easter theme this week, because I love my holidays.  This year, Easter will be a little different; I’ll be heading back from Maui on Easter Sunday after my annual girls’ trip.  So, not a bad trade-off!

Sooo.. what to wear.  Below I’ve got a round-up of some of my favorite spring dresses, perfect for Easter Sunday, Passover (we celebrate both in our house), etc.

Not surprisingly, dressing up to head to church for Easter Sunday was one of my favorite parts of the holiday when I was younger!  My dress above would make a perfect Easter dress.  It gives me all the Chanel feels, but for $62 from Goodnight Macaroon.  Warning: size up because it really short.

Of course, you’ll need brunch food and beverage inspiration for your Easter morning…

Quiches are one of my Easter go-to’s…they’re not only delicious, but you can make them ahead of time if you’re hosting family and friends and then just re-heat…

– Two of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE quiche recipes:  Savory Summer Pie and Sweet Potato Goat Cheese Quiche…both adapted to be gluten free

-Paleo/ Whole 30-ers…Sausage, Leek and Spinach Quiche …it has a sweet potato crust!

A must-make cocktail on Easter Morning if you’re a French 75 fan: Spring Fling from Sugar & Cloth…also I love that she includes a list of edible flowers…

Easter means lots of candy in our house.  So how about some healthier candy ideas!

A lot of you who follow along here or on IG can see I’ve been really trying to stick to desserts that are either in line with being more Paleo or Whole 30 friendly.  That means subbing traditional sugars for things like maple syrup or coconut sugar and traditional flours for nut, cassava or coconut flour.  And honestly, most of these recipes are REALLY good.

Now for the NOT Easter-related…

-If you’re like me, you have a (many) multi-step skincare regiment, but I ALWAYS wonder about what I shouldn’t be mixing: these piece is really helpful on what combos to avoid.

Colorful sneaker styles to try this spring… I hate the dad shoe trend with a passion, but I’ve been wanting those raspberry Air Force 1’s for a while now!

Calabrian Chile Hummus…yes please…
