Small Entryway Ideas and Weekend Reads | 1-15

Get tired of tripping over shoes and coats every time you walk in the door?  Me too!  This week, I’ve been diving headfirst into some small entryway ideas for our new home to both organize the space and set the mood for the rest of the house.

We have a pretty small entryway space with one short wall for a console table or cabinet.

And this wall behind the door that could house a wall unit for keys and mail.

And I’d say, we desperately need a new entryway light!

My priorities for the space:

-place to hang keys and a few coats

-add a small table or cabinet with either drawers or space for trays to collect all those loose items

-space for a few baskets underneath where we can put all of Winston’s going out items

-new entryway light fixture

-bonus: hanging mail organizer (but only if it’s cute! lol)

One of the biggest problems I’m having is finding a short console table to fit the space.  Our wall is only 34″ wide, and we’re limited by the molding in our house.  So I’ve been doing a DEEP DIVE into the best entryway tables around, and here are my favorites:

Speaking of entryways, I love these baskets for underneath a table.

I also really like this wall mounted coat hook from Pottery Barn.

Planning on making these clean cupcakes this weekend as we kick off our Whole 30 journey again.

Hip hip hooray for berets!  An argument for berets this winter.  Plus here’s one of my favorites.

In light of the events last week, it’s pretty clear that we, as a country, are operating on a wide range of differing “facts.”

This Cosmo piece really resonated with me this week.  It’s about the wellness community and QAnon, and how QAnon are pulling in a lot of white suburban women. Boredom, isolation and a sense of community are all some of the reasons that they’re able to connect with these people that you wouldn’t normally think of being part of the world of conspiracy theorists.

Also, speaking of “Q”… did NOT see this one coming.

I’m the queen of trashy reality shows, and since I’ve seen most in the US, I’ve been binging this UK old school one.  I must say I am throughly enjoying it!  It’s as they would say… quite lush.

I’ve been loving TikTok’s mini workouts.  Here’s a few of the apps best motivational tips for working out at home.
